Men's Central Jail (MCJ) website.

Men's Central Jail plays a large role in the community. Housing about 5,000 inmates from all around Los Angeles County, MCJ is the largest jail in the world. Not only does MCJ provide custody services for the county, we strive to better the community through outreach programs.

Gift giving at MCJ Visiting

MCJ Deputies build cars for
children in East LA
to race in the 12th
annual Soap Box Derby.

On February 13, 2008, Burger
King donated 100% of their
profits to Officer
Randall Simmons' family.
Men's Central Jail personnel
ordered over 200 meals.

Ms. Sanjana Abraham (NY
fashion designer) and
Mr. Franklin Vanderbilt
(drummer of Lenny
Kravitz) passed out gifts to
children at MCJ visiting center
during Christmas .

Deputy Marquez, Lyons, Murad,
Rodriguez play for the
Los Angeles Heat to
raise money for
Alisa Ann Ruch Burn
Foundation.

Through fundraisers,
recycling, and donations,
Men's Central Jail donated
over $3,000 to
999 for Kids.
